The fairy tale romance between boxing champion Claressa Shields and rapper Papoose has imploded in spectacular fashion, with both sides hurling explosive accusations of infidelity, financial theft, and betrayal.
Claressa is accusing Papoose of stealing over $100,000 from her. But Papoose isn’t staying quiet — he’s now firing back with claims that Claressa was creeping behind his back with his own friend.
The whole thing blew up after 50 Cent jumped in with receipts that sent the internet into a tailspin. We’re talking leaked videos, suspicious Christmas link-ups, jealous text messages, and Papoose’s friend Maserati Bud suddenly right in the middle of their relationship.
So now the question everybody’s asking: Did Claressa really cheat, or is this all a setup to destroy her reputation?
And if she didn’t cheat, why are there videos, texts, and insiders saying the relationship is already on the edge of collapse?
Like a lot of chaotic drama in Hollywood, we have 50 Cent to thank for all of it. Apart from being the messiest man in entertainment, he has also been beefing with Papoose for a minute. So it was only a matter of time before he dragged Papoose’s girl into the beef.
Things between Papoose and 50 blew up after Papoose got into a fight with someone who called Claressa ‘Serena Williams.’ And 50 decided to get petty, per usual.
He posted an AI video from the movie ‘Love & Basketball,’ but superimposed Papoose and Claressa’s faces into the two lead characters. What had people talking was that 50 Cent used a scene where the female lead confronted her man for not loving her.
50 then wrote: ‘Now you see that — you can’t just go around putting your hands on people.’
Well, Papoose got messy too and posted his own AI footage of 50 Cent dressed as a woman and dancing. He wrote: ‘No, no, no. Stop deflecting, Curtis. The world is still waiting for your response to f***ing them. You from Southside, do something. Fight or flight.’
Now, if there’s one thing we know about 50, it’s that he hates when people try to hint at him being gay. So we knew he was going to go low.
And did he go lower than expected? Yep. He tried to expose Claressa for cheating on Papoose.
‘Very, very handsome,’ 50 wrote. ‘Hey Pap, ask your old lady Claressa if she effing Maserati. But tell her to be honest because I have the ring camera videos.’
And when 50 Cent claims to have receipts, you better believe he has a stack of them. He doesn’t play when he’s trying to be petty.
However, Claressa immediately denied the allegations.
‘First, the situation started New Year’s when 50 Cent decided to disrespect me and Papoose unprovoked, which led to rap beef and Papoose’s dissent,’ she wrote. ‘Rather than responding through music like a true artist, he chose to make false claims about me and create a narrative suggesting that I had a sexual relationship with someone I never been involved with in any capacity, no romantic or sexual contact whatsoever.’
She then claimed she was going to sue him for lying on her name.
‘Given his platform and influence with 38.9 million followers, now legal actions being pursued. I would also like to thank the blogs that shared and circulated the story as these posts will serve as part of the evidence along with the statements and captions Curtis Jackson has published himself.’
‘Facts of facts,’ she added, ‘and just because he can’t rap don’t mean he can’t start lying on my cat.’
Not her cat.
Well, 50 Cent then decided to drop a teaser of the receipts he claimed to have. The next thing we knew, Maserati Bud posted a video of him and Claressa partying together on Christmas Day.
50 wrote: ‘Maserati bubbles all over Claressa booty for Christmas. Where you was at, boy? You be a bop.’
Claressa continued to insist that just because they spent Christmas together doesn’t mean anything went down. She went live to accuse Maserati of lying on her name.
‘You never even smelt my cat, boy,’ she said on the live stream. ‘I never even sneezed on it and he up here talking about some “I ain’t want to have to expose you, Claressa.” What?’
‘How do you recognize a weirdo? Somebody you don’t know coming around you 24/7 doing this. Yeah, you all in the back. He got his phone. Flip the camera. “Oh yeah, look who I’m with. Yeah, look where I’m at.” This man been doing that since the first day I met him. And I feel like I was targeted.’
Well, Maserati then went live to tell his side of the story, and he insisted his time with Claressa was anything but innocent. He started off by sharing texts between him and Claressa where it seemed like she was jealous that he was spending time with other women.
He then went live to claim the only reason she didn’t dump Papoose for him was that he’s polyamorous and she wanted to be his one and only.
‘The only reason that you went old boy way is because everybody who know me know I’m poly,’ Maserati claimed. ‘They know I got two, three girlfriends. And you said I don’t want to be a part of that. And I said, “Man, you tripping.”‘
‘You got mad because I went on vacation with my girls. We were vibing. You know what I’m saying? I kept it player.’
But also, 50 Cent wasn’t lying about having stacks of receipts. He also posted video of Claressa and Maserati in the studio together, and it looked interesting.
At this point, Claressa was starting to look bad, so she decided to take control of the narrative by sharing texts between her and Maserati. The texts were supposed to exonerate her, but let’s just say they only ended up making her look worse.
‘You never told said you had a boyfriend and you know it,’ Maserati texted. ‘I took it down.’
‘You know I 100% told you I had someone,’ Claressa replied. ‘You already confirmed it in our text. “What if I get a boyfriend? What you going to do?” That’s what you said.’
‘I said, “I told you I was in love with him,”‘ she continued. ‘Who is him? Pap, you idiot. So what are you talking about?’
‘You told me that and that’s why I went back and got with my girlfriend,’ Maserati responded. ‘So why you mad?’
‘I’m not mad. I don’t give a f*** about what you do. You hurt me first.’
‘How?’
‘But don’t post me on your s***. And you got your woman. I’m happy for y’all. I kicked it with them on Christmas cuz you was with Pap, which is great. I spent time with you even though you crushed me.’
From the videos, fans concluded she was somehow leading Maserati on, which probably had something to do with the fact that Papoose spent Christmas with his ex, Remy Ma. And considering how much Remy and Claressa hate each other, it goes without saying Claressa felt some type of way about that.
Now the streets are saying she was in her feelings, got with Maserati, and the rest was history.
Oh, but 50 Cent still had more to say. According to him, it didn’t stop at just flirting — he’s claiming Claressa and Maserati got down and dirty together. He even claimed to have video evidence.
‘Mad now,’ 50 wrote. ‘I’m going to get all the footage. She knows she was buck naked in his shower.’
Even with all this, Claressa is still trying to stand ten toes down and denying everything about cheating. A fan tweeted: ‘Claressa Shields having a side n***a while being down bad and in love with her main n***a makes me respect her more. I wasn’t familiar with her game.’
Claressa then replied: ‘You still ain’t familiar. I ain’t cheating on Pap ever, especially not with the D-boy 50 lying ass talking about. I ain’t no cheater.’
But unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Papoose believes her. An insider is reporting their relationship is fractured and they’re on the edge of a breakup.
Allegedly, it’s not just the fact that she cheated on him, but also the fact that Papoose and Maserati were supposedly friendly and they had both hung out with Claressa in the past. So not only did she cheat on him, but she also did it with someone he knew.
And to make matters worse, this is not the first time this has happened to him. Remember the drama with Remy Ma cheating on him with his best friend Eazy the Block Captain, and how he found out during a rap battle?
So it’s like history repeating itself over and over again. And Papoose is not here for it.
But this is where it gets real spicy. The insider is claiming Claressa is done being apologetic. Now she’s claiming she knows Papoose is only with her for her money and he has been using her the whole time.
Then, if that’s not bad enough, she’s also accusing him of stealing more than $100,000 so he can keep on fronting and pretending like he’s not broke.
So now she’s threatening to take him to small claims court to get her money back.
And it looks like this breakup is going to be even more toxic than his split from Remy Ma. If these accusations keep escalating, the situation could get even uglier.
At this point, both sides are threatening receipts, lawsuits, and it’s only going downhill from here.
